| Jane and Mike have lived in the States for 9 years after arriving in Dallas, TX in 1997 and then moving to Portland Oregon 1 year later. Mike is from Lancashire originally and Jane is a Yorkshire lass. They enjoy living in the Northwest and visiting the Oregon Coast and central Oregon. They have a daughter, Zoe who keeps them both busy. |
| Lesley and Ron. Lesley is from North Surrey and husband Ron from Alaska. They met on line, hooked up in Canada, married in Vegas and for the last 5 years lived in Portland Oregon. Lesley runs an internet business selling British goods all over the US including Hawaii and Alaska and also to American Forces overseas. She started the British homemarket as she missed Baked beans and Marmite. They share their home with 3 dogs, 4 cats and 4 foster kittens! |
| About Michelle - By Gareth Tall, blond, slim and classy, this young lady from Devon has a grin as wide as the river Exe at the point just between Topsham and where the M5 motorway bridge crosses over it (see Wikipedia entry for River Exe). Although a realtor, Michelle is as comfortable waltzing you around a dance floor or kicking the living crap out of you in a dark alley (she does Krav magra and kickboxing) as she is selling you a house which you can't really afford to buy. She is the most fun member of the group, and after Gareth probably the best-looking.

| Phil left good ol'blighty in August 1998 for sunny North East Florida. After barely surviving Hurricane Floyd he began a road trip to Portland for a new job in July 2000 with his then girlfriend Sylvia. Phil originally from the center of the Universe, Elmsworth in Hampshire married Sylvia in 2002 and is now the proud father of twin rascals, Colin and Simon, born June 2004. Phil misses frazzels, British made Kitkats, real ale (Gales HSB, Old Thumper, Ringwood 49er and Gales Winter Brew) and his family and friends. The thing he likes best about Portland is that Mount Hood "Snowboard resort" is only 90 minutes away. He also enjoys golf, hiking, sailing, bowling and playing pool. |
